Introduction to the use of miluminsul smelter:
Miruminsur is the only tin producer in Peru and the third largest tin producer in the world. It operates the San Rafael tin mine in Puno and the vonsul smelter and refinery in IKA. The second phase of the expansion project of minsur smelter in Peru was started in May 1998. The oxygen enriched project was added to the Pisco smelter adopting Ausmelt process, so the selection of refractories is the key point. Due to the very bad reaction conditions, refractories are subject to the wear, peeling and erosion of materials, so the antiwear, peeling, erosion resistance and thermal shock resistance level of refractories are all high standard requirements. After multiple selection and tests, the effect of miluminsul smelter is not ideal, and finally the SA series products produced by Jinzhou Great Wall Refractories Co., Ltd. are selected.
Mr. Zhao Wenhou, chairman and chief technical engineer of Jinzhou Great Wall Refractory Co., Ltd., has designed and developed 350mm sa-1l bricks for minsur smelter in Peru, which have been used for 12 months. The remaining 180mm bricks are still left, and the furnace life is twice as long as that of magnesia chrome bricks.
